Off the grid 500w swimming pool pump
What is required to have your pump running 12h per day?
Since we have been hit with a 30% electricity price increase, I needed to see where I can make things differrently, presuming that cost of electricity will still be on the rise.
My swimming pool pump was a perfect candidate to run a real test. I needed to see by myself what is available on the market and how much we can rely on what is sold to us.
The Goal: Run 600w load for 12h and have batteries fully charged a 1pm
In my situation, my pump runs from 8am to 8pm with a salt chlorinator and a small pump to run the water through the matt for heating.
Here is in details all what is running and requires ~550w
- Pool pump Viron XT P320 series 2VS, running at 2000rpm ~500w
- Heating pump 46w
- Astral Pool VX chlorinator
